Canvas Certification Request

This course is for Foothill College faculty and staff only. It is NOT intended for students.

Registration for Canvas training is limited to Foothill College employees with ID numbers only.

Faculty must receive "Canvas Certification" in order to teach a scheduled class using Canvas at Foothill College.

You can get "Canvas Certification" in one of three different ways:
  1. Complete “Canvas Certification” online training provided by Foothill College (includes demonstration of your skills on a Practice site)
  2. Document my prior experience with Canvas (e.g., formal Canvas training from @ONE or another college; teaching with Canvas)
After you complete and submit this form to let us know how you want to become certified, you will receive a confirmation and next steps via email.

Winter Break - December 20 through January 6

Foothill Online Learning office will be closed. Any request submitted after 5pm, Monday, December 17 will not be processed until after January 7, 2019.

3. How do you want to become "Canvas Certified" so that you can use Canvas for your scheduled classes and request Canvas sites? Select only one choice.
More details will appear after you make your selection.

You will be enrolled in the online "Canvas Certification" course within 2 business days. You will receive an email notification at the time when you can access the course site to get started. This course is self-paced so you can start and finish whenever you are ready. You will not need to log into the course site on a daily or weekly basis.

If you want in-person supplemental Canvas Certification training in addition to completing the online training course, please make an appointment with our staff for in-person training sessions that best fit your schedule.
